Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro Race Truck to debut in off-road competition

Want to get a sense of the Toyota Tacoma and its off-road capabilities before you buy? Will a run through "The Great American Off-Road Race" be sufficient?

In near stock configuration, a specialized Tacoma truck will participate in the 2017 MINT 400, held March 1-5, 2017 in Las Vegas. Its engine, transmission, and performance-enhancing technology will remain true to stock. So if the race truck wins, so does in the streetwise truck.

The racetrack-ready pickup is called the Tacoma TRD Pro Race Truck, and it's a spinoff of the Tacoma TRD Pro, which you can meet here at Koons Westminster Toyota. It boasts a stock 3.5-liter Atkinson Cycle Engine, four-wheel drive, Multi-Terrain Select, Crawl Control, enhanced suspension, FOX 3.0-inch bypass shocks, and much more off-road equipment.

If you're in the market for an off-road-oriented pickup truck in the greater Baltimore area, you won't want to miss this upcoming competition -- or the latest Tacoma lineup here at our Toyota dealership in Westminster. Feel free to visit our facility for a test drive, and check out the video overview of the TRD Pro Race Truck below:
